Cleared sprays not in the gallery to reduce disk space.

[9 September 2011]
Well, I went and did it. I added ads through Project Wonderful. If you'd turn off adblock, that'd be great! (If not, that's ok too).
Now you (yes you) can run an ad on my website for the low low price of almost nothing!

[3 September 2011]
That was weird. There was a giant spike in CPU and memory usage earlier today, but it didn't seem to correlate with an increase in traffic. Investigating...

[27 August 2011]
Went back through and re-moderated all of the un-moderated sprays. Everything should be sorted into SFW/NSFW now. (Borderline material can be in either category though, so if skimpy swimsuits will get you fired, don't view the gallery at work!)
This means that I will probably be adding ads soon. Though Linode's cheaper than AWS, this is all still running out of my summer savings. ;_;

[12 August 2011]
Moved to Linode from EC2 ('cause it's cheaper). Stuff might've broken! Let me know!
What does this mean for you? Things might be a little slower. We're running at ~half the RAM now.

[10 August 2011]
Changed it so sprays have to be approved by me to get into the gallery. It's mostly a formality (there are almost no "good" ad companies out there that let you put ads on pages with non-moderated content). In general, nothing will change except that it'll take longer for sprays to show up in the gallery.

Along a similar vein, the option to flag sprays has been removed (since I'm moderating them by hand). I'm hoping this will solve issues regarding trolls unflagging NSFW content or flagging MLP:FIM sprays (etc).

Added a couple more notes regarding fading sprays, non-gallery sprays, etc.

[9 August 2011]
Cleared sprays not in the gallery for disk space. Looking into ads, because damn this is expensive to run.

[27 July 2011]
Changed how animations are split apart so combined gifs work as well as gifs that replace their frames. I may or may not have broken other sprays in the process. Let me know, please! In the process, I also tried to improve how animated thumbnails are generated.

[23 July 2011]
Welcome visitors from YouTube! If you notice something wrong with the site, or it seems to load especially slowly, please contact me at one of the places above.
Edit: Upgraded my EC2 instance for better performance.

[10 July 2011]
Cleared sprays from the filesystem that weren't in the public gallery (to save some space).

[20 June 2011]
For some unknown reason, my usual EC2 instance went down around 12:30AM UTC, and I haven't been able to reach it via SSH (restarting it didn't help either). While I continue my attempts to get that running again, here is a backup from a few days ago. Note that this is running an old verison of the spraymaker software and animated sprays will look unendingly stupid. (So don't make them for a bit, k?)

Update: Just got an email from Amazon. "We have noticed that one or more of your instances are running on a host degraded due to hardware failure." So, that's that. Still trying to backup, chances are the most recent sprays were lost.

Update 2: No luck with the backup. My last AMI backup was from about 3 weeks ago, so here we are. I've replaced the spraymaker software with the latest from github, so that should be running better, in any case. I apologize for those of you that lost sprays in the gallery; I'm not sure there's a whole lot I can do about it though. You'll just have to re-upload them. :I

[5 June 2011]
• Fixed an issue where frames in an animation wouldn't run in the correct order (thanks Codyray1!)
Technical: The program explodes animations into their individual frames before putting them through the backend VTF maker. On my dev machine, they always came through in the right order. On EC2, they seem to return in a semirandom order. Not sure why.

[28 May 2011]
• You can now flag/unflag a spray as NSFW. Against my better judgement, I'm going to let the community take care of policing that.
• You can now download sprays that are in the gallery (oops)
• The .vmt files should now correctly download instead of display in the browser.

[27 May 2011]

I don't always edit my website

But when I do, I do it on the production server

[26 May 2011]
Welcome to version 2 of the TF2 Spraymaker!
We're now hosted IN THE CLOUDcloudcloud on EC2 (which should give some more uptime than our previous host "my desktop computer"). This also means that we're running with a brand-new backend that may or may not work! If your sprays don't look right, for whatever reason, let me know right away.
